This table describes the number of cases of tuberculosis (TB) disease and percentages by site of disease in the United States from 2010 to 2024.

Key Highlights

  • In 2024, 71% of TB cases in the United States were characterized as pulmonary only, while 17% were extrapulmonary only, and 12% were designated as both pulmonary and extrapulmonary.
  • Among persons with extrapulmonary TB disease, the most common sites of disease were lymphatic (28%) and pleural (24%).
