Accepted candidates are notified.

Fellowship begins. Fellows attend Summer Course in Atlanta, Georgia.

Fellowship ends.

Summer course travel arrangements

Travel to attend summer course in Atlanta, Georgia is arranged and paid by CDC for those eligible. Please do not book your own arrangements.

CDC covers the following travel expenses for the course:

  • Domestic airfare to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
  • Per diem for meals and incidental expenses (at the government per diem rate).
  • Reimbursement for:
    • Hotel stays at a CDC-selected hotel (at the government rate).
    • Transportation costs to and from your home and the airport.
    • Parking at the airport.
    • Transportation to and from the airport and your hotel.
    • Up to one checked luggage.

  • Summer course attendance is mandatory. Summer course takes place at CDC Headquarters.
  • Those with a home address within 50 miles of CDC Headquarters are not eligible.
