See Pay & Leave Salaries & Wages by location. PHIFP base pay is GS 11 Step 3 for Masters degree holders and GS 12 Step 3 for Doctoral degree holders.
PHIFP fellows are full-time equivalent (FTE) employees during their fellowship.
Fellows are paid at the GS 11, Step 3 level for Masters degree holders, and the GS 12, Step 3 level for Doctoral degree holders, and receive the same benefits as other CDC FTE employees (such as medical insurance and vacation). Fellows may be eligible for a salary increase after one year of appointment, based on performance and written recommendation by appropriate management officials.
