On December 6, National Miner's Day, we pause to recognize the men and women who work as miners across America. Today we express our gratitude and celebrate their hard work and dedication which sustains our society’s resources.

NIOSH actively supports all miners and strives each day to eliminate mining fatalities, injuries, and illnesses through research and prevention.
