FY 2018 ELC Awards by Jurisdiction

Over $200M Awarded to 64 Domestic Public Health Departments in Federal Fiscal Year 2018

(8/1/2018 – 7/31/2019)

The goal of the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Infectious Diseases (ELC) program is to reduce illness and related deaths caused by a wide range of infectious disease threats. The ELC program accomplishes this by administering one of CDC’s key nationwide cooperative agreements, awarding approximately $200 million dollars annually. ELC provides funding, strategic direction, and technical assistance to 64 jurisdictions for surveillance, detection, response, and prevention. For nearly a quarter-century, ELC has provided direct support to health departments in all 50 states, several large cities, and U.S. territories, ensuring continuity of operations for the nation’s infectious disease-related infrastructure.
