ELC continues its mission to protect the public health and safety of Americans by funding jurisdictions with activities that:
• Build / Maintain an effective public health workforce for rapid response to infectious disease outbreaks,
• Strengthen cross-cutting national surveillance systems,
• Boost laboratory infrastructure with the latest diagnostic technologies, and
• Improve health information systems to efficiently transmit, receive, and analyze infectious disease-related data electronically.
