Management structure for school screening

The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Health (DOH) is the technical lead and responsible for directing and managing all activities included below. The DOH has two experienced epidemiologists to provide support to the Department of Education (DOE) in the management and direction of the testing and mitigation plans.

Support provided to school districts

Pending consent, the goal is to test 10% of students and staff per month for surveillance needs. Additional surveillance may be conducted following any school outbreaks. The DOE is provided access to daily community transmission rates for each district.
