Management structure for school screening

The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) has coordinated with Regional Education Associations and local health units in the state. The NDDoH is responsible for managing the program and has done outreach to all the school districts in the state.

Support provided to school districts

The NDDoH works directly with the schools to inform the school of positive cases and to contact trace. A component of the program is the “test to stay/play” program. This allows close contacts to stay in school if they test daily, or every other day, for one week and remain asymptomatic.
