  • Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers (IQIP) promotes and supports the implementation of evidence-based, provider-level strategies to increase immunization rates among children through 18 years of age.
  • These strategies are evidence-based and supported by the American Association of Family Physicians.

IQIP strategies

IQIP supports both implementation and continuous improvement of these strategies. If your practice is already using one or more of these strategies, IQIP can help you strengthen your approach, refine workflows, and identify new action steps to further improve immunization practices.

Strategies work best together

Combining interventions leads to the greatest improvements in immunization coverage. IQIP requires providers to select at least two strategies to strengthen both operations and communication.12
