Regional Network Coordinating Organization (RNCO)
Five Core State Violence and Injury Prevention (CORE SVIPP) states lead the Regional Network Coordinating Organizations (RNCOs). These states provide coordination across states and with injury and violence prevention (IVP) organizations in specific regions of the country to share scientific evidence and violence and injury prevention program best practices. Together these RNCOs cover all states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia.
RNCOs conduct regional activities, such as peer-to-peer networking, mentoring, and training. Each RNCO also coordinates a National Peer Learning Team (NPLT) to connect state partners across the country on a specific topic area related to injury and violence prevention: child abuse and neglect, intimate partner and sexual violence, motor vehicle injury and death, traumatic brain injury, and systems thinking.
