For adults, SDIIS requires mandatory inclusion by law. Adults are included in the IIS with no possibility to opt out.
Provider Reporting
South Dakota does have a mandate for vaccination providers to report immunizations to SDIIS. The provider reporting policy:

Data Sharing
South Dakota does have a policy that regulates sharing data from SDIIS with other public health entities. The data sharing policy:
