TED-Style Talks
I’ve spent years delivering facts about antimicrobial resistance (AMR), only to watch eyes glaze over and habits stay the same. Then, unexpectedly, an Off-Broadway musical did what clinical conversations couldn’t: reached wider audiences and sparked clear, lasting engagement on a complex health issue.
This talk explores how storytelling, performance, and a little creative risk can transform complex public health issues into something audiences can feel and remember. Drawing on my life experience as an infectious disease physician and performer, this talk makes the case that science must be accurate…but also human.
