Heart Disease Death Rates for 2017-2019 for Blacks Aged 35 Years and Older by County

Geographic Patterns: Heart Disease Death Rates for 2017 through 2019 for Blacks Aged 35 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest heart disease death rates for Blacks – meaning the top quintile – are located primarily in Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.  Pockets of high-rate counties also were found in parts of Georgia, southern Ohio, central Pennsylvania, Michigan, Missouri, Texas, and Nevada.
