Summary | Estrogen has suspected neuroprotective properties. This investigation seeks to understand how early onset menopause and coinciding drops in estrogen production relay risk of ALS. This examination reported a positive association between receiving an ALS diagnosis before age 60 for women who entered menopause before age 50 when compared to women who reported entering menopause after age 50. |
