VTrckS Connection Newsletter
We are pleased to announce that VTrckS Release 2.0 went live on February 27, 2012. The four pilot grantees – Chicago, Colorado, Michigan, and Washington State are now using Release 2.0 along with providers from Chicago and Colorado. Many months of data gathering from pilot user groups and SAP best practices led to the updated design of VTrckS. The enhancements focus on improvements in the following areas: provider and grantee functionality and usability, Spend Plan functionality, and ExIS interface functions. Thank you to the pilot grantees for agreeing to be the “pioneers” of VTrckS and helping to make it a successful and valuable vaccine tracking system that will benefit all grantees and their VFC providers.
Read what our Colorado grantee has to say about Release 2.0!
"VTrckS Release 2.0 has gone a lot smoother than Release 1.0, the Vaccine Management Contact Center is working well, and we are getting great feedback from our providers." - Chris Duggar, CDC Immunization Public Health Advisor, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment
"I placed an order after the training yesterday and it was easy! Definitely seemed more user friendly." - Colorado provider piloting VTrckS
In addition to the Release 2.0 Go-Live, on March 1, 2012, the Spend Plan pilot grantees - New York City, Ohio, Utah, and Virginia - also went live with Spend Plan functionality. We appreciate their commitment and dedication to completing all of their go-live preparation activities in a timely manner. The feedback from the pilot grantees has been instrumental in assisting CDC to refine the Spend Plan training materials along with the modules and manuals preparation materials for future Spend Plan deployments.
Program Managers Meeting
The Association of Immunization Managers Program Managers Meeting (PMM) was held at the CDC February 1-3, 2012. Thank you to all of the grantees who attended the VTrckS Plenary and breakout sessions. VTrckS related topics included: VTrckS Deployment Scheduling, a VTrckS Release 2.0 demonstration, a discussion on Data Cleansing and Conversion, and VTrckS Training and Provider Readiness. There was also a special session in which grantees received a training package; and logged on and learned how to use VTrckS.
