| Slide 10. Reported TB Cases by Race/Ethnicity,
United States, 2007. In 2007, 83% of all reported TB cases
occurred in racial and ethnic minorities (29% in Hispanics, 26% in
non-Hispanic blacks or African-Americans, 26% in Asians, 1% in
American Indians or Alaska Natives, and <1% in Native Hawaiians or
Other Pacific Islanders), whereas 17% of cases occurred in
non-Hispanic whites. Persons reporting two or more races totaled
less than 1% of all cases. This is the fourth year that Hispanics
have constituted the single largest percentage of TB cases among all
racial/ethnic groups.
