This 6-course, 18-credit hour graduate certificate program for public health practitioners is the only one of its type in the United States. The program emphasizes the translation of theory and knowledge into evidence-based practice. The required courses introduce social marketing and formative research methods in social marketing. Students must also choose one of the following: marketing for nonprofit organizations, strategic planning and marketing for health care, or public and nonprofit marketing and communication. The student also selects three electives from among courses such as focus group research, public health message design, and qualitative methods in community health research.
Audience
The program is designed for experienced Masters-level public health professionals who want to develop, implement, and evaluate social marketing programs.
Duration
