In this course, trainers demonstrate how to collect data, develop qualitative research questions, and use computer programs to conduct qualitative analyses. The course covers coding text for ideas, themes, and topics of interest; selecting coding methods for specific projects; organizing and evaluating content; grouping material; and generating reports that list and link coded text. Participants are encouraged to bring transcripts or texts relevant to their own projects to gain hands-on experience as they learn to code or systematically mark transcripts.

Audience
The course is designed for clinicians, researchers, graduate students, and public health practitioners who have completed an introductory statistics course.

Duration
3 days (8 hours per day).
