In this course, participants gain skills in developing and implementing health promotion interventions and conducting evaluation research in Hispanic or Latino populations. Course content includes issues of ethnic classification, measuring population research variables (such as acculturation, language preference, and national origin), and developing and conducting culturally appropriate interventions. Participants also examine the similarities and differences of various Hispanic and Latino subpopulations and determine how to accommodate health promotion programs based on each population's characteristics.
Audience
The course is designed for researchers, public health practitioners, and community health workers who work with Hispanic or Latino populations.

2 days (8 hours per day).
