In this participatory workshop, attendees discuss concerns with recent findings about adolescent development. Discussion includes how to use research findings to guide and improve adolescent health practices, whether recent findings justify creating new youth-oriented policies, and whether new policies will have implications harmful to young people or affect adolescents' rights.

The workshop is intended for all members of the youth-serving community, such as health risk specialists (focused on preventing teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, violence, or tobacco use), youth development and after school program managers and volunteers, adolescent health advocates, public health and health care practitioners, parents, researchers, policymakers, funders, civic leaders, and social services professionals.

Duration
