Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh Mature Workers Program—Employment, Training, and Economic Empowerment
This program prepares adults for employment in the private sector. Participants learn about the day-to-day operation of the University of Pittsburgh's Prevention Research Center (Center for Healthy Aging) and are taught computer skills. While in training, the Urban League of Pittsburgh provides employment counseling, job referrals, and placement assistance, and also offers classes in career assessment, resume writing, interviewing skills, and online job searching.
This training is for Allegheny County residents aged 55 years and older who meet specific income requirements.
