The University of South Florida’s Prevention Research Center coordinates CDC’s Oral Health Network (OHN), which was established in 2002. The network encourages use of the Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) as a resource for developing and conducting community-based oral health research. The network strengthens research collaboration among PRCs, state health departments, and schools of dentistry. The coordinating center enables the network’s members to find funding opportunities by maintaining a Web site that links to grants, reports, and abstracts. The center also formed the OHN National Advisory Group, which has drafted a grant proposal process and announcement guidelines, and set an agenda for future OHN activites.
