Project Identifier
Development and Evaluation of Messages to Address Safety and Adverse Event Concerns about Influenza Vaccination among Adults—SIP 11–04

Status: Not Active

Saint Louis University: Prevention Research Center

University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston: University of Texas Prevention Research Center

Topics:
Immunization

In this project, researchers will develop messages intended to convince African American adults at high risk for influenza to get an influenza vaccination. To learn why some people in the target population resist getting the influenza vaccine, about 200 people are being surveyed and messages will be designed with 70 participants. The new messages will be tested, refined, and if successful, developed into strategies for encouraging such vaccination.
