Topics:
Nutrition & Physical Activity for Adults

In this 3-year project, researchers developed, administered, and evaluated a survey to learn what social and environmental factors community members thought supported or limited their participation in physical activity. Researchers analyzed how perceived and real factors affected residents’ rate and pattern of activity, and disseminated their tools and findings to residents, partners, and scientific communities. A copy of the survey used is available at http://prevention.sph.sc.edu/tools/environmental.htm.
