Coordinating Activities of the Oral Health Network: 1999–2001

Between 1999–2001, the Prevention Research Center (PRC) at the University of Alabama coordinated the activities of the Oral Health Network. The main activities included implementing a strategic plan, promoting discussion of the U.S. Surgeon General’s report on oral health among PRCs, and supporting the work of network-associated consultants in oral health promotion and disease prevention. As lead center for the network, the Alabama PRC also helped other PRCs initiate oral health projects, and participated in public health conferences and workshops about oral health.
