2011 Special Interest Projects (SIPs) Program Announcement Available
The CDC’s Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) Program announces the Special Interest Projects (SIPs) Competitive Supplements (# RFA-DP-09-0010303SUPP11 published as RFA-DP-09-001). The purpose of this announcement is to support supplemental health promotion and disease prevention research projects that (1) focus on the major causes of death and disability, (2) improve public health practice within communities, and (3) cultivate effective state and local public health programs. A major focus of these supplements is to design, test, and disseminate effective prevention research strategies.
Please note, however, that only those applicants selected as Prevention Research Centers under Program Announcement DP-09-001 are eligible for the SIPs funding. That is, SIP applications selected for funding must be from applicants who receive a Notice of Grant Award for Program Announcement DP-09-001.
Letters of Intent for the SIPs are due on or before February 25, 2011 and applications are due on or before March 25, 2011.
