Rhythm method
NOTE: In "Rhythm or safe period by calendar," a woman's fertile period is determined by counting the days from the start of her period that month. The woman abstains from sexual intercourse on her fertile days.
- Rhythm method use among women 15-44 years of age who have ever had intercourse, 2002:
- Percent of women who have ever used the rhythm method: 16.2%
- Percent of women currently using the rhythm method: 0.7%
