Interactive Tables and Databases

NCHS provides researchers with important health data through specialized data access tools and resources, including microdata, tables, and reports.

Health Data Interactive logo NCHS DOQS (Data Online Query System) provides dynamically generated statistical tables, charts, and graphs using NCHS public use data. Users can generate and store in-depth statistical analyses customized to their specific requirements without the need of a commercial statistical software package.
Health Data Interactive logo Health Data Interactive provides tables with national health statistics for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Tables can be customized by age, gender, race/ethnicity, and geographic location to explore different trends and patterns.
VitalStats Logo VitalStats is a collection of vital statistics products (including tables, data files, and reports) that allows users to access and examine vital statistics and population data interactively. Users can access prebuilt tables and reports for quick access to statistics. Data files can also be used to create tables by choosing from over 100 variables.
Health Indicators Warehouse logo The Health Indicators Warehouse serves as the federal data hub for measurable characteristics that describe the health of a population (such as life expectancy, mortality, disease incidence or prevalence, or other health states); determinants of health (such as health behaviors, health risk factors, physical environments, and socioeconomic environments); and health care access, quality, and use.
NCHS Survey Measures Catalog provides an overview of questions about child and adolescent mental health, and functioning and disability in various surveys of the NCHS Data Systems. This website allows users to: search for mental health or functioning and disability measures by topic; print measure summaries, including the text of the question or scale, response options, and other metadata; and link to survey questionnaires, documentation, datafiles, and when available, other sites that provide access to tabulated data.
CDC Wonder CDC WONDER is used to query many CDC data sources, including NCHS birth and death data.
Healthy People logo Data2010 is an interactive database used to track Healthy People 2010 objectives and is accessible through CDC WONDER.
WISQARS logo WISQARS is an interactive database system that provides customized reports of injury-related data, including NCHS mortality data.
See what DATA can do on is a repository for selected CDC data that can be visualized and syndicated to external sites. While most of this data is already available through various other CDC websites and applications, provides a central way to search and discover data and allows for visualizations (e.g., charts, maps, and filtered views), and syndication.  The team is actively working to collect and offer more data on the site to aid in the increased use and distribution of health-related data.
