Ebola and Travel
Due to the current Ebola outbreaks, CDC has issued an Order requiring airlines to collect and provide to CDC contact information for passengers who were in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or Republic of Guinea within the 21 days prior to their arrival in the United States. CDC will securely transmit transmit this data to state, territorial, and local health departments at the passenger’s final U.S. destination. Public health officials may contact the traveler for health monitoring or other public health follow-up. Learn more about this Order.
