Salary and benefits
Prevention Effectiveness fellows are full-time equivalent (FTE) employees during their two-year fellowship.
Fellows are paid at the General Schedule (GS) 12, step 3 level. They receive the same benefits as other federal employees, including medical insurance and leave.
Fellows can be eligible for a salary increase after the first year of their fellowship, based on performance and written recommendation by appropriate management officials.
Fellows are responsible for any relocation expenses for their two-year assignment.
