U.S. map with identified locations of 2021 mining fatalities

One example of the type of maps available in the Mine and Mine Worker Charts interactive web application. This map displays locations of 2021 U.S. mine fatalities.

Followers of mine safety and health trends can now access data and statistics updated through 2021 on the NIOSH website. The updates are based on data files obtained from the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). NIOSH provides the statistics though the interactive Mine and Mine Worker Charts web application. The underlying data are also provided in downloadable files in self-documenting SPSS format and (newly for this release) Microsoft Access format.
