Q: Will this presentation be available to participants on the call?
A: Yes, the presentation will be posted on the PS23-2302 website.

Question: Are there changes to list of outputs and indicators?
A: Yes, for those applicants who are awarded, there will be opportunities to collaborate with CDC regarding any revisions to the outputs and indicators.

Q: Can programs request for VDOT direct assistance?
A: If direct assistance is requested, it should be submitted with your application as a separate Budget Narrative titled “Direct Assistance Request”.

Q: Funds “may” not be used to purchase TB medications? If you say may, does it mean you can in special circumstances?
A: At this time, there are no circumstances in which PS23-2302 funds can be used to purchase TB medications.

Q: Can monies be used to partially pay for clinical/medical services (e.g., nurses seeing STI clients)?
A: The Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP) funding allows a small proportion (at least 20 percent of the overall DSTDP award amount) to support provision of clinical preventive services. TB funding may be used for out-patient TB services but may not be used for inpatient clinical care. Refer to the Funding Restrictions section of the NOFO (page 50) for a complete list of restrictions. Applicants who are awarded will have the opportunity to discuss this further with CDC subject matter experts post award.

Q: Can funds be set aside for contractual services for providers and nurses in the event a program loses staff?
A: Yes, this can be included in the Budget Narrative.  Ensure you include all the six elements needed for Contractual cost category.

Q: Can funds be used to purchase hepatitis B vaccine for adults?
A: Applicants who are awarded will have the opportunity to discuss this further with CDC viral hepatitis subject matter expert post award.

Q: In the NOFO on page 64, Section H. Other Information, are these required deliverables for application?
A: It varies depending on the applicant. For example, some applicants may include indirect costs in their budgets, but they would need to submit the indirect cost rate agreement with their application. You are encouraged to carefully review the needed attachments based on your individual situation.

Q: For monitoring and evaluation purposes, is there a plan to use Excel, or are there plans to use an online application for recipients to enter their data?
A: Post award, CDC will have conversations with applicants who are awarded and will determine the appropriate data reporting tool at that time. We anticipate there will be more discussions.

Q: What is the bona fide agent status documentation?
A: A bona fide agent will act on your behalf and will submit your budgets and interact with CDC as your fiduciary person. Additional information can be found at CDC’s Grants Website.

Q: Regarding collaborations, are we allowed to sponsor partners to events using the funds if it impacts the program?
A: Applicants who are awarded will have the opportunity to discuss this further with CDC subject matter experts post award.

Q: Is designating a TB Education Training Network (ETN) Focal Point a requirement?
A: Yes, designating a TB ETN Focal Point is a requirement.

Q: Does the TB ETN Focal Point required to be budgeted under the PS23-2302 NOFO?
A: No, the TB ETN Focal Point is not required to be budgeted under the NOFO.
