Application Submissions

Applicants should submit one single application to grants.govexternal icon. A detailed budget and narrative justification should be provided to support the activities for the first year of funding in response to this NOFO and a summary narrative for the entire project period. If the application is not submitted by the deadline published in the NOFO, it will not be processed. Office of Grants Services (OGS) personnel will notify the applicant that their application did not meet the deadline. The applicant must receive pre-approval to submit a paper application. If the applicant is authorized to submit a paper application, it must be received by the deadline provided by OGS.

Application Review Information

Applications will be reviewed for completeness. Incomplete applications and applications that are non-responsive to the eligibility criteria will not advance through the review process. Applicants will be notified if the application did not meet submission requirements. All applications deemed eligible and technically acceptable by the review panel will be funded based on score and rank, availability of funds, geographic diversity, and relevance to National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention program priorities. Applicants will be selected from the following geographical areas:

  • American Samoa
  • Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI)
  • Guam
  • Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)
  • Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI)
  • Republic of Palau

Only one applicant per jurisdiction will be funded under this NOFO to address the prevention and control of HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STDs, and TB in the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Island jurisdictions.

Notice of Award (NoA)

Recipients will receive an electronic copy of the Notice of Award (NoA) from CDC OGS. The NoA shall be the only binding, authorizing document between the recipient and CDC. The NoA will be signed by an authorized GMO and emailed to the Recipient Business Officer listed in application and the Program Director.

Any applicant awarded funds in response to this Notice of Funding Opportunity will be subject to annual SAM Registration and Federal Funding Accountability And Transparency Act Of 2006 (FFATA) requirements.

Unsuccessful applicants will receive notification of these results by e-mail with delivery receipt.
