On February 25, 2021, CDC updated the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) about Coronavirus (COVID-19) for Laboratories web page. Refer to the “General Guidance and Regulatory Requirements” section of this page to see the new FAQs:

  1. Can my laboratory report SARS-CoV-2 variant sequencing results to the individual being tested or to state and local public health departments?
  2. How does my laboratory assess the validity of a specimen that has been obtained through home collection?
