2005 CHILD Participation Table and Map
Percentage of U.S. Children >4 months and < 6 years with 2+ Immunizations in IIS
In 2005, 56% (or about 13 million) of the U.S. children greater than 4 months less than 6 years of age had 2 or more immunizations in a state or local immunization information system (IIS). Eight states and two cities reported over 95% of their children greater than 4 months and less than 6 years of age with at least two immunizations in the IIS. Ten states and the District of Columbia were approaching the national health objective, with participation of 81%-94%.

2005 PUBLIC PROVIDER Participation Table and Map
Percentage of Public Providers Participating in IIS by Grantee
An average of 75% of public immunization provider sites submitted data to their IIS during the last six months of 2005. Twenty-two (39%) grantees reported that >95% of public provider vaccination sites submitted immunization data to an IIS; 8 (14%) reported submission of immunization data by 81%-94% of public provider vaccination sites. These results are based on self reported data from CDC immunization grantees.
