Training Opportunities - Speaker Requests
NCIRD offers dynamic speakers to cover a wide range of immunization topics at meetings, conferences, grand rounds, and other events. Our training is normally intended for healthcare providers, and we offer customized training to meet your needs.
A CDC speaker travels to your location and travel is funded by CDC. To justify travel cost, we normally require a minimum of 150 attendees when requesting an on-site speaker.
Distance Learning Options
A CDC speaker presents remotely from Atlanta using web-and audio-based technologies, including webinars, webcasts, phone bridge lines, and netconferences. There is no audience size limit. These are normally easy to set-up and there is no travel cost on our end.
Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases Course
This is a live, two-day (normally two days), on-site course intended for state, county, and regional programs and the speaker's travel is funded by CDC. Only a limited number of these on-site courses can be presented each year, so please plan well in advance. We usually require a minimum audience size of 250 for this course.
Note: The on-site speaker request submission deadline for Fiscal Year 2015 has passed, but we are still accepting requests for distance learning options. We are also accepting requests for Fiscal Year 2016 (October 2015-September 2016), and the deadline for those requests (on-site) is September 1, 2015.
If you are interested in requesting a speaker from NCIRD, please contact Bill Howard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please visit our Education and Training page for additional training opportunities.
