Duplicate Records
All Fields Exact match of all 66 fields. Retain one of the duplicate records.
Key Fields Exact match of these PNSS fields: State (field 01), Substate (02), Initial Visit Date (07), Woman's Alphanumeric Identifier (09), and Woman's Date of Birth (10). Retain the first reported record.
Select Fields For complete and postpartum only records, an exact match of State (field 01), Substate (02), Woman's Alphanumeric Identifier (09) and Infant's Date of Birth (60).
  • If infant's date of birth is missing, do not consider the record a match.
  • If duplicate records include complete and postpartum only records, the complete record will be retained.
  • If duplicate records include just postpartum only records, the first reported record will be retained (the record containing the earlier postpartum visit date).
For complete and prenatal only records, an exact match of State, (field 01), Substate (02), Woman's Alphanumeric Identifier (09) and Date of Last Menstrual Period (LMP) (26) and Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD) (27).
  • If EDD and LMP is missing, do not consider the record a match.
  • If duplicate records include complete and prenatal only records, the complete record will be retained.
  • If duplicate records include just prenatal only records, the first reported record will be retained (the record containing the earlier initial visit date).
