Cross-check Errors Edit Criteria: Invalid Date Combinations. The field numbers, names, and edit criteria include:
Field Numbers and Names
Field 07/Initial Visit Date does not precede Field 27/Expected Date of Delivery (complete and prenatal only records).
Field 07/Initial Visit Date does not precede Field 08/Postpartum Visit Date (complete records).
Field 07/Initial Visit Date not the same as Field 08/Postpartum Visit Date (postpartum only records).
Field 07/Initial Visit Date does not precede Field 60/Infant's Date of Birth (complete records).
Field 60/Infant's Date of Birth does not precede Field 08/Postpartum Visit Date (complete and postpartum only records).
Field 26/Date of Last Menstrual Period (LMP) does not precede Field 07/Initial Visit Date (all records).
Field 26/Date of LMP does not precede Field 48/Date Enrolled WIC (all records).
Field 26/Date of LMP does not precede Field 27/Expected Date of Delivery (all records).
Field 26/Date of LMP does not precede Field 60/Infant's Date of Birth (complete and postpartum only records).
Field 26/Date of LMP does not precede Field 08/Postpartum Visit Date (complete and postpartum only records).

 

Cross-check Errors (cont'd) Edit Criteria: Fields with inconsistencies between fields on more than >5% of records. The field numbers, names, and edit criteria include:

10/Woman's Date of Birth and 14/Education	The number of years of education the woman has is subtracted from her age.  If the result is < 4, a cross-check error is assigned to both fields.
27/Expected Date of Delivery and 44/Date Last Pregnancy Ended	Year and month of Expected Date of Delivery equal year and month of the Date of the Last Pregnancy.
43/Parity and 44/Date Last Pregnancy Ended	Field 44 is 000000 (no previous pregnancies) and Field 43 is not 00 (no previous pregnancies).
06/Completion Code and 60/Infant's Date of Birth	Field 06/completion code is 1, A,B,7 or 8 and field 60/Infants Date of Birth is missing.
35/Positive or Negative Weight Gain and 36/Total Weight Gain	Field 36=00-98 and field 35 is not = + or -.
60/Infant's Date of Birth 26/Date of LMP 27/EDD and 62/Born Alive or Dead	Gestational age in days is calculated by subtracting the Date of LMP (calculated from EDD if needed) from the Infant's Date of Birth. Field 62=1 (live birth) and gestational age is a non-missing value <20 weeks or > 44 weeks.
60/Infant's Date of Birth 26/Date of LMP 27/EDD and 62/Born Alive or Dead	Gestational age in days is calculated by subtracting the Date of LMP (calculated from EDD if needed) from the Infant's Date of Birth. Field 62 = 2 (born dead) and gestational age is a non-missing value <0 weeks or > 44 weeks.
62/Born Alive or Dead and 65/Currently Breastfed	Field 62 = 2 (born dead) and field 65 is not = 8 (not applicable).
62/Born Alive or Dead and 66/Ever Breastfed	Field 62 = 2 (born dead) and field 66 is not = 9 (not applicable).
65/Currently Breastfed  and 66/Ever Breastfed	Field 65 is coded 1 (yes) and field 66 is not coded 9 (not applicable).
