Workshop 3: Lessons from Studies in Exposure Reduction Chair: Workshop 3 will review a selection of studies to learn the action that was taken and how this affected exposure. Four studies will be presented. The first study will outline the effect of regulations governing the use of resins with respect to exposure reduction. This study will be presented by Jouni Surakka. The second study, to be presented by Torkil Menné, will review the effects of nickel regulation in Denmark and the EU and what effect this has had on exposure and sensitisation. The third of the studies will review chromium in cement. It will be presented by Dirk Hadrich. The final study will show the role of education in exposure reduction and will be presented by Henning Allmers. Time will be allowed, following the presentation of each study, for discussion of the study and the lessons we can learn from it. There will also be discussion at the end of how we can integrate these aspects of exposure reduction along with others in an effective means of reducing exposure in the workplace. The product anticipated from the Workshop is a paper with the tentative title "Lessons from Studies in Dermal Exposure Reduction."
