Activities Proposed for FY 05
Antimicrobial Resistance, Food Safety, Hepatitis Prevention and Control, Influenza Surveillance and Response, National Electronic Disease Surveillance System, West Nile Virus, and General Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity
Key Performance Indicators
Antimicrobial Resistance
- Promotion of Appropriate Antibiotic Use in the Community.
Food Safety
- Report foodborne disease outbreaks promptly through the Electronic Foodborne Outbreak Reporting System (EFORS).
Hepatitis Prevention and Control
- Regular status reports from personnel will detail results and survey findings pertinent to Hepatitis C.
Influenza Surveillance and Response
- Success will be measured through the correct identification of isolates.
National Electronic Disease Surveillance System
- A continued interaction within the Surveillance community will support the coalition.
West Nile Virus
- A continued provision of the surveillance data for the department web site as well as surveillance reports to our cooperators will serve to monitor our progress.
General Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity
- Effectiveness of configuration activities includes, for example, the number of new labs, tests, test groups, observations, etc. added or modified.
