'Transmission' TRANSMISSION
Infected rodent NARRATOR:
The transmission cycle begins with the rodents who carry the virus. The virus is probably released through the rodent's urine, droppings, and saliva just like in other Hantaviruses.
Uninfected rodents Uninfected rodent becomes infected They transmit it or pass it on to each other, but they themselves don't get sick from it.
Person with broom Once it's released it doesn't live very long -- maybe a few days. During that time a person may come into contact with the virus.
