LEWK4 provides values showing the mortality experience of a hypothetical group of infants born at the same time and subject throughout their lifetime to the specific mortality risks for 1999-2001. There is a separate set of tables for each state and the District of Columbia. Data are shown by race, sex, and single year of age. Data is also provided on the standard error of the probability of dying and average remaining lifetime. The most frequently used life table statistic is average remaining lifetime or life expectancy at a specific age. For further information, see U.S. Decennial Life Tables for 1999-2001 [PDF – 2.2 MB] or access a spreadsheet version of tables on the FTP server.
