NCHS Webinar: What happened with births in 2020?

You may have heard in the news that U.S. births are declining. You may even be wondering how births in 2020 compare with previous years. Join experts at CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) to learn about the latest U.S. birth data. Presenters will highlight the release of the 2020 provisional birth data, including new reports that highlight historical trends and analyses, declines in U.S. births by month, and changes in births to New York City residents by month and race and ethnicity. This webinar will also describe monthly provisional estimates for selected pregnancy characteristics and birth outcomes, such as cesarean delivery and preterm birth rates, that may be relevant to the direct and indirect impacts of COVID-19.
