NCHHSTP Atlas
The NCHHSTP Atlas is a new tool that will allow users to create maps, charts, and tables using HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STD, and TB surveillance data.
This current release of the NCHHSTP Atlas presents surveillance data for HIV, AIDS, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and primary and secondary syphilis. TB and viral hepatitis surveillance data will be added by mid-2012, allowing for more emphasis on mapping, display, and analyses. NCHHSTP also will be expanding its functionality over time to provide more dynamic query functions as well as county-level data.
Publications
CDC releases Data Security and Confidentiality Guidelines for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, Sexually Transmitted Disease, and Tuberculosis Programs: Standards to Facilitate Sharing and Use of Surveillance Data for Public Health Action.
Adoption of common practices for securing and protecting data will provide a critical foundation and be increasingly important for ensuring the appropriate sharing and use of data as programs begin to modify policies and increasingly use data for public health action.
