Purpose
FY2003 Congressional Project . The purpose of the program is to strengthen child maltreatment prevention efforts by supporting the further development and enhancement of Nurses for Newborns Programs serving at-risk pregnant women and women who have just given birth. This funding will increase Nurses for Newborns Foundation’s capacity to provide home visits to at-risk families and impact the health outcomes of children and families by improving child health, preventing infant mortality, and preventing child maltreatment.
