Benefits of Good Goals and SMART Objectives

There are several benefits to using good goals and SMART objectives as you develop program workplans
and logic models.

Here are three:

  1. They provide a structured approach to developing and designing a workplan.
  2. They provide a means to systematically monitor the success of program implementation and achievement of program outcomes.
  3. They allow you to identify program improvements that need to be made as you review how well goals and objectives have been met to date.

We are sure you will think of more when you see goals become good goals and your objectives become SMART!
