Activity: Checking Your "Reach"

Let's look at an Indicators question and data source to see how to apply the information we have just covered.

Directions

This activity is designed to reinforce your understanding of "reach" and how to measure it by requiring you to answer a sample Indicators question using data from a sample TA log.

Indicator Question – Answers and Feedback

A. Number of schools reached directly
3 = Correct! Employees from Prince Elementary, Littleton High School, and Sagewood Middle School received TA.
0 = Incorrect, Try Again! Count up the total number of unique schools reached.
1 = Incorrect, Try Again! Count up the total number of unique schools reached.
2 = Incorrect, Try Again! Count up the total number of unique schools reached.
4 = Incorrect, Try Again! Count each school only once, regardless of how many employees from each school attended or participated in an activity.

B. Number of districts reached directly
1 = Correct! A district-level employee from Memphis City Schools received TA.
0 = Incorrect, Try Again! Count up the total number of unique school districts where a district-level employee was reached.
2 = Incorrect, Try Again! Count only districts where district-level employees participated. Count each district only once, regardless of how many employees from each district participated in an activity.
3 = Incorrect, Try Again! Count only districts where district-level employees participated. Count each district only once, regardless of how many employees from each district participated in an activity.
