The National 4-H Council is the private sector nonprofit partner of 4-H and the Cooperative Extension Service. The National 4-H Council partners with 4-H to provide training, curriculum development, and programming within the national 4-H system.
National 4-H Council's Program in Action
The National 4-H Council is funded to provide Capacity-Building Assistance for Promoting Sexual Abstinence: Youth Development Strategies.
- Conducting a 12-month train-the-trainer program on research-based youth development concepts for six state teams representing health, education, community, faith, and youth.
- Providing one in-person training and 11 monthly Web-based follow-up training events for the teams.
- Developing and disseminating youth development resources through the Building Partnerships for Youth Web site.
