Charlotte-Mecklenburg
Schools (CMS) in North Carolina receives funding from CDC’s Division of
Adolescent and School Health to implement an asthma management program and
conduct the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). The CMS asthma prevention
program is a collaboration of schools, the local health department, city
governmental agencies, hospitals, and professional organizations that work
together to improve the health and academic success of
Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s children by preventing asthma through a coordinated
