Nancy H. Nay, MPH
Nancy H. Nay, MPH, is Director of the Office of Overseas Operations in the CDC Center for Global Health (CGH). Ms. Nay most recently served as Deputy Director, CDC Vietnam, providing management and other support for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and other aspects of CDC’s work in Vietnam.
Ms. Nay obtained her B.A. from the University of Colorado and her M.P.H. from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Ms. Nay’s career in international health program management began when she served as a health and nutrition volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in the Philippines from 1976 – 1978. She subsequently worked with the U.S. Department of State’s U.S. Indochinese Refugee Program in Manila. She joined CDC in 1986 as a member of the International Health Program Office (IHPO). In 1991 she left CDC to accompany her husband on his Foreign Service postings. She worked with the Department of State to manage a USAID-funded small grants program in South Africa, prior to re-joining CDC in 2001, when she was assigned to serve in India until 2006.
